Host FamiliesThe helpful hands of families coming together is what makes a parish vibrant and a community thrive. Your prayers and your support of our program makes what we do possible.
One such way we are blessed by the help of our family community is through our Host Family program. Our session coordinators do a LOT the night of our religious ed classes - handle the set-up and logistics, answer questions, "herds cats", and clean up the space when we're finished. However, he/she is only one person! That's where Host Families come in. |
What does a Host Family Volunteer do? |
When serving as our host family, one parent must stay for the entire class time to participate in these activities:
|
When should I plan to be there and for how long? |
Please arrive 15 minutes before class time and plan to stay for the entire class, including 15 minutes afterwards to clean up.
For Mondays that means: 5:15 - 7:00pm For Thursdays that means: 6:45 - 8:30pm |
When is it my turn? |
Families may choose their own date (s) to serve. We ask that every family signs up for two dates, or a combination of class dates and other middle school event help (like retreats or trips). If you also have a child in the K-5 classroom program, we ask that you just serve at two classes total (one for K-5, one for Middle School).
